The Ministry of Interior won six awards and two medals as part of the fourth edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Government Excellence Award at the ceremony held under the patronage and the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.
The ceremony was organized by the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs.
In the Leading Federal Entity category, the Ministry of Interior won in the Ministries with More Than 500 Employees sub-category. It also won the following five awards in the other categories and fields: the Best Entity in the Field of Enablers category, the Best Entity in the Field of innovation category, the Best Entity in service provision, the Best Achievement of National Agenda category and the Best Joint Service category.
Two staff members of the ministry of interior received two medals: Colonel Ahmed Al Hamoudi, head of the traffic and patrols service center, Fujairah police won the medal for Most Distinguished Service Center Director. Halima Al Matroushi, from Fujairah police, won the medal for Best Administrative Employee.
